On 7 June 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia, attended a sharing session on Cambodia, at Khmerrangsi Buddhist Temple, to secondary school students from the Blue Gum Community School in the ACT before they are headed to Cambodia for a study visit in July 2023.
During the session, Ambassador Chanborey provided a general background of Cambodia – short history and current contexts – and Cambodia-Australia relations with the emphasis on the importance of people-to-people links.
The session was also featured with: (1) Buddhist teaching by Abbot PHIN Sokol; (2) presentation on the Mekong River, Tonle Sap Lake and Angkor Wat by Dr. SOMETH Paradis, Principal Hydrologist at the Canberra-based eWater; and (3) presentation on education in Cambodia by Mr. SOTH Sothearak, Cambodian Master’s student at the Australian National University.
