H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey visits the new office of the ASEAN-Australia Centre (AAC)

On 27 May 2025, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Cambodian Ambassador to Australia joined other Heads of Mission from the ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) to visit the new office of the ASEAN-Australia Centre (AAC) based in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). A tour around was followed by the ACC-AAC dialogue, which was chaired by H.E. Ms. Michelle Chan, Deputy Secretary for the South and Southeast Asia Group and Head the Office of Southeast Asia.

The AAC is Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s initiative announced at the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in March 2024. The Centre supports the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and implements recommendations from Invested: Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040 by delivering programs and initiatives across its four strategic pillars, namely Southeast Asia literacy, economic linkages, education and cultural connections.
